SCARED BY THE HALLOWEEN CANDY?

DOES IT SEEM TO HAVE CONTROL OVER YOU INSTEAD OF VICE VERSA?

TOO many temptations, too many choices and it just doesn't seem to fit with what you are trying to do?

CONSIDER THIS YOUR "HALLOWEEN SUCCESS KIT"

But like any success kit or toolbox, you HAVE TO USE it!

As I've mentioned previously, your MINDSET on this will make all the difference!

Actually the thought of being out of control… of a mini-Reece’s Peanut Butter Cup or mini-bag of M&Ms taking you down a road you don’t want to go down… the thought of being busted by your kid for raiding their pumpkin bucket in the middle of the night…the thought of REGRET the morning after…oh, and realizing on Halloween Day that you need to go buy more candy because what you bought ahead of time is…. Um… gone?

Oh, did I say all of that out loud? Or at least type it? EEK!

Here’s the deal, this is just the first of the big three – the big three End-of-Year Holidays that lead you toward making that New Years Resolution that you know you won’t keep!

Let’s just tackle Halloween for now.

I've listed my top 3 strategies to consider below (and then you can work on the discipline (you’ll rarely hear me say Willpower) to say ‘no’ to the candy.

On your road to weight loss and health creation, do you PROCLAIM and identify as the person you want to become?

That is the first step, what does the HEALTHY you do?

Halloween DOES look different for a healthy person.

Are you ready to become that healthy person?

  1. Bag it up!

As soon as you purchase candy, put the allotted amount for each child in a little cello gift bag and TIE IT UP and put it up until Halloween. That way if you decide to get into it, you really have to work at it and you have plenty of time to do it and think about what you are doing and why

  1. Remove Temptation

Only purchase the candy you don’t like – makes it a lot easier, I promise. And some kids do like skittles and starbursts and milkyways..  Those are just the things I personally don’t love!

  1. Give away non-candy toys!  THIS IS MY FAVORITE!!!

Mini-playdough canisters, glowsticks/bracelets,etc, bubbles, crayons, inkstamps, halloween trinkets, these are so fun! Also good in a cello bag! (With so many food allergies this is a great idea anyway - a teal pumpkin on your porch alerts people that you have non-food treats)
