The problem is not your willpower.
You are not broken.
And it is not that the plan “isn’t working for you.”
It’s this.
Our plan is very precise.
That precision is what makes it work so well. But it also means that small deviations create big consequences.
You have to get into a clean fat burn… and stay there.
The first 4 to 5 days can feel rough. No sugar coating that. But once you are through them, something shifts.
Energy comes back.
Hunger calms down.
Cravings lose their grip.
Your body gets into a rhythm.
That is the flow.
When people are struggling to stay on track, it’s usually because they have either never gotten into that flow, or they keep dipping in and out.
A little extra here. A bite there. A weekend that turns into Monday regret.
That puts you in no man’s land between fat burn and glycogen depletion.
Not quite burning fat. Not completely fueled by glycogen. Just stuck repeating the hardest days over and over again. Your body is telling you that you can’t do it. So you give in. And promise to start again on Monday.
That is a miserable place to live.
The secret sauce of this program is not white knuckling food. It’s how you feel once you are fully in fat burn.
If you are struggling with temptation right now, here is the truth. You’ve probably lost touch with your WHY.
And that happens to all of us.
When that happens, the decision becomes, “Do I want this food… or do I want to lose xx pounds?” - That is a brutal decision. And food wins.
⇒But when your WHY is clear, the question changes.
For me, one of my whys was simple. I want to live not just a LONG life, but a STRONG and HEALTHY life to take care of my son JD. He has autism and is non-verbal. HE NEEDS ME. I wrote that down. And every single morning, I read it out loud.
It took 30 seconds.
It cost me nothing.
And it changed everything.
So when I was tempted, the question became…
Do I want this food more than I want to be alive and healthy to take care of JD LONG TERM?
That was an easy decision. I was not doing this just for me. Other little people were counting on me. That’s why this works.
You must decide:
• What you want
• Why you want it
• And whether you are willing to pay the price to get it
Then EVERY SINGLE DAY, you remind yourself what you want, why you want it and that you ARE willing to pay the price to get it. No matter how high!
Out loud.
On purpose.
Before temptation shows up.
That way, you are never more than 24 hours away from having intentionally reminded yourself what you want and more importantly… WHY you want it!!
That’s the step most people skip. Because it feels awkward. It feels pointless.
It’s not.
It’s everything.
If you do that, staying on track gets simpler. Not easier. Simpler.
And if you decide you want food more than your WHY, that is information too. No judgment. Just honesty. But make an informed decision… not a decision because you forgot why your goal is still important to you.
Don’t confuse forgetting your WHY with the plan not working. It’s biologically impossible for it to not work. It’s simple science and math.
This is how you win.
